Speech Therapist
Member of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ)
Katerina is a passionate speech-language pathologist and a graduate of McGill University, where she completed a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a particular interest in neurological speech and language disorders. She is a licensed member of the OOAQ (Quebec Order of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists).
Throughout her training, Katerina gained clinical experience with a wide range of populations — from children in school and private clinic settings to adults in hospital environments. She also worked for several years at the Montreal Neurological Institute, where she deepened her expertise in working with individuals affected by stroke, brain tumors, and neurological conditions impacting speech, language, and communication abilities — such as myasthenia gravis, ALS, Parkinson’s disease, and Guillain-Barré syndrome.
She has a strong interest in functional speech and language disorders, which often require highly individualized and nuanced therapeutic approaches. Known for her attentive and patient-centered care, Katerina tailors her interventions to each client’s specific goals and communication profile.
She currently works with both adults and children experiencing challenges in areas such as speech, fluency/stuttering, swallowing, language, cognitive-communication, and voice. Katerina believes that the ability to connect through communication — in all its forms — is at the heart of the human experience, and she strives to support each person and family with compassion and clarity.
